Tobler and Sons first in Canada to order all-new Volvo VNL

Tobler and Sons, a family-owned logistics company, has become Volvo Trucks North America’s first customer in Canada to order the all-new VNL.

It is adding two VNL 860s with Edge Black interior and exterior trim to its exclusively Volvo fleet. Production of the new models is set to start this summer, with deliveries beginning later this year.

Founded in 1999 and based in Ontario, Tobler and Sons operates a fleet of 50 trucks, including owner-operators. The company hauls materials such as mulch, hay, straw, sawdust, and shavings.

“I have been a lifelong Volvo Trucks customer, so I’m very familiar with the performance and efficiency of the platform. I love the streamlined look of the all-new Volvo VNL and knew that I wanted to be the first fleet in Canada to purchase one,” said Martin Tobler, owner of Tobler and Sons, in a news release.

“Tobler and Sons have been a loyal Volvo Trucks customer for many years, and I’m thrilled to see their trucks come off the assembly line with distinctive Edge Black trim,” added Matthew Blackman, managing director for Canada, Volvo Trucks North America. “Their new trucks will stand out on the road with their sleek aerodynamic cabs and gloss-black accents and finish, making a striking addition to their Volvo fleet.”

In addition to the new aerodynamic design, the Volvo VNL offers various packaging options for trim levels, powertrain, technology, amenities, and safety. The company also promises a 10% increase in fuel efficiency and a streamlined service process to maximize uptime, enhancing fleet efficiency and reliability.
