Dragonfly Energy has launched a new generation of chargers under its Wakespeed product line.

It claims its new Wakespeed 500 Pro Bluetooth Alternator Regulator and 48V/12V bi-directional DC-DC converter allow for faster charging speeds and increased efficiency.

It also says the products help truckers to maximize their on-board power and optimized charging efficiency.

WS500 Pro users can wirelessly configure, update and monitor their alternator charging directly from the Wakespeed smartphone app.

The WS48-12x simplifies installation and streamlines power distribution within mobile apps, using both 12V and 48V DC systems. It sends power from where it’s available to where it’s needed while maintaining the needs of both the 12V and 48V system.

“Everyone agrees that platforms are going to 48V,” said Wade Seaburg, chief revenue officer of Dragonfly Energy. “These products allow heavy-duty trucks to leverage existing alternators to charge 48V battery systems faster while still maintaining a reliable and efficient power supply.”
