Hyundai announced it is working with autonomous trucking technology company Plus to develop North America’s first SAE Level 4 autonomous fuel-cell-electric truck.

Hyundai’s Xcient hydrogen fuel cell vehicle serves as the truck to be equipped with Plus autonomous driving software.

The autonomous fuel cell truck is already undergoing initial driving assessments in the U.S., the companies announced.
