Bollinger Motors names Taylor CEO, promotes Chambers, Kumar

Electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Bollinger Motors appointed former GM executive James Taylor as its chief executive officer. Taylor succeeds founder Robert Bollinger, who will continue as a board member and major shareholder.

As part of the company’s leadership reshuffle, Bollinger Motors also promoted Bryan Chambers to president and chief operating officer. Siva Kumar was named chief strategy officer and senior vice-president of finance.

“These leadership changes position Bollinger Motors for continued success,” said Robert Bollinger in a news release. “Jim’s industry experience and our collaborative efforts have been invaluable. He is the right person to build on our momentum.”

Taylor has worked closely with Robert Bollinger to bring the company’s all-electric Bollinger B4 Class 4 Chassis Cab to market. He has held leadership positions with Cadillac and Hummer and has electric vehicle experience with Electric Last Mile Solutions, Workhorse, Karma, SF Motors, and Mullen Automotive for the last two years.

Meanwhile, Bryan Chambers joined Bollinger Motors in 2018, bringing more than 35 years of automotive leadership experience to the company. Earlier in his career, he was the CEO of Chambers Services and held positions with various automotive companies.

Siva Kumar, who joined Bollinger Motors two years ago as chief financial officer (CFO), previously served as CFO for Optimal EV and held positions with Skanda Capital, Ford Motor Company, Meritor, and Tenneco Automotive.
